Happy laundry today!
Feel so unecessary

A somewhat delayed "finished" post for the Swoon.

You may remember this was finished and gifted in time for Christmas but with no time for photos.

So, here we go..!

Pattern: Swoon by Camille Roskelley

Size: 82" x 82" (I made the final border slightly wider than stated in the pattern)

Fabrics: Background is Robert Kaufman Kona cotton in Honey.  Other fabrics were selected around a gardening theme and include a selection of quilting cottons produced by Liberty for the V & A quilt exhibition ( back in 2010!), several prints from Denyse Schmidt Greenfield Hill collection, Sewing seeds botanical print and Lakehouse Dry Goods Annie's Farm Stand seed catalogue print.  The backing fabric is Joel Dewberry- Modern Meadow- Flower Fields in Lake, and the binding is a plain navy (Blue Coal)  Marcus Brothers Centennial Solids which was surplus fabric from the AWAT II.

Quilting: the quilting was done for me by Jeanette of J-Quilts using a lovely pantograph design called "grapevine". The thread chosen was a greenish gold colour, to tone with the background colour and the flowers on the backing fabric.
